Stainless Steel Cookware Made in the USA

Stainless Steel Cookware Made in the USA
We’re frequently asked to find American-made products but stainless steel cookware made in the USA is tough to pinpoint. Luckily, we found several options!

We're frequently asked to find American-made products of all different categories, and one area that can be especially hard to pinpoint is stainless steel. Some products require specialized skills that over time have become sparse or completely unavailable in the U.S. due to cheaper alternatives offered overseas.

Stainless steel fabrication has by and large been moved to China, and while we don't love the fact that American companies have opted to take their manufacturing business out of the country, we also recognize that a product isn't automatically toxic just because it's made in China. However, we strongly believe in supporting our own economy and we want to encourage companies to bring home all those manufacturing jobs lost to other countries (vote with your dollars!) and that's why we've conducted this research into stainless steel cookware made in the USA.

Another important reason we buy American has to do with quality control. Although we know a handful of very reputable companies who produce safe, tested, high-quality products overseas, we acknowledge the fact that it's inherently easier to monitor quality when the process happens on your home turf. But overall, the company itself is the driving force behind levels of quality. A made in the USA stamp does not guarantee the safety of a product, so it's best to do your research before buying. Always.

  1. Both the US and China signed a pact a few decades ago to allow low level irradiated steel to be reused. Personally I go to donation centers looking for anything made in France, England, Germany, etc, but the older made ones. I also have old Farberware from the 60s but prefer the enamel over cast iron Le Cruset type cookware.

  2. I personally use Kitchen Kraft Cookware 100% made in the USA very expensive but so worth it will never have to buy cookware again, this cookware is usually sold through shows at Fairs and home demos.

  3. so if you were wanting to purchase a stainless steel cookware set for Christmas for your home…what would your best recommendation be?

    1. Tramontina in general is made in Brazil, and they have been associated with horrible labor practices. I don’t buy from Asian countries or South/Central American countries.
