Is filtering your water really THAT important? The answer is a resounding YES! So how well does a UV light filtering system work? You might be surprised!
Why You Need to Filter Your Water
There are incredible amounts of contaminants still left in treated city water. Take a look at some of the big and mighty toxic offenders likely in your tap water right now:
- Chemicals like herbicides, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, and by-products from the municipal chlorination process
- Residue from waste particles, bacteria and micro-organisms that cause illness
- Heavy metals like lead, mercury, and cadmium
Not only that, but the Environmental Working Group tested tap water in 45 states a couple of years ago and found 202 chemical contaminants that are not subject to any government regulation or safety standards for drinking water. Say WHAAA?! Yeah, so now you see why it's so important to purify your water.

Is this really considered safe since high amounts of radiation are said to be bad for us?
I personally wouldn’t consider this a noteworthy source of radiation and I would prefer it to the chemicals being used by city treatments plants. ~Alicia
