4 Ingredient Gluten-free Naan BreadTwo words: butter chicken. I can never get enough!  But what's butter chicken without naan bread? I need it. I have to have it. The trouble was finding a simple option that tasted good enough to please my gluten-free taste buds.  I searched high and low, then finally found a paleo naan recipe from My Heart Beets.  I tried substituting a few of my favorite real food ingredients, and ended up with something that tops my list of super easy recipes for the Indian bread lover.

Easy Gluten-free Naan Bread Recipe

You seriously cannot go wrong with this one!

1/2 cup almond flour
1/2 cup tapioca flour
1 cup organic milk (I use raw milk with lots of cream but full fat organic coconut milk works well too)
2 pastured eggs
Dash of sea salt (optional)

  1. Toss everything into a food processor and blend for 30 seconds
  2. Heat butter or coconut oil over medium heat, then pour in enough batter to create the size and thickness you want (use a smaller pan for thicker bread)
  3. When the batter begins to bubble and firm up a bit, flip to cook the other side (I cook until golden brown spots appear)

P.S.  This bread is so versatile!  I use it as a peanut butter and honey transportation method too 🙂

  1. Hi, and thanks. Do you know if it is possible to substitute almond milk or coconut milk for the dairy in this recipe? Thanks again.

    1. Great question Amy! You could definitely substitute full fat coconut milk, and possibly almond milk if you added another type of fat. I haven’t tried making this bread with lower fat content, so I’m not sure how it would turn out. ~Alicia
